COMMENTING POLICY

COMMENTING POLICY

The Wayward Kitsune strives to maintain a community wherein readers can freely share their differing opinions on various topics. In order to achieve this, below are some rules one must keep in mind:

Please use English and Filipino. While Wayward Kitsune is fluent in four Philippine dialects and the English language, the same cannot be said for other readers. Just to ensure that everyone can participate in discussions, commenters are encouraged to either post in English or Filipino. Comments in other dialects or languages will be deleted as it only shows that you don’t want to interact with the other readers.

Link/Image posting. Link/image posting is allowed as long as the link is relevant to the discussion.  Links that are merely posted to advertise ‘Penis Enlargers’ or ‘Breast Enhancers’ or to build backlinks for questionable sites will be deleted.

Spam is the bane of anyone’s existence. Unless it’s the canned meat, everyone hates spam.  Spam does not only refer to ‘Penis Enlargers’ advertisement but also to all the product advertisements out there.  In addition, publishing the same comment for at least three times is also considered spam.  WK appreciates your enthusiasm but one or twice is enough.

To all the trolls, flamebaiters, and flamers: PLEASE GTFO. Everyone wants to have their own say about a certain topic so it’s no surprise that disagreements are inevitable.  Wayward Kitsune is all about healthy arguments and voicing out your opinions without fear of being mocked at or stigmatized by the rest of the other commenters. However, if you are purposely provoking and attacking others with racial slurs and other inflammatory remarks, then please, just GTFO!

Textlish and jejemon are sure ways to get your comment deleted.  Look, creativity is one thing, but textlish, jejemon and other derivatives are just a NO-NO.  What reader would spend his/her time trying to decipher the meaning of “Ahy ahgri whid dhix. Dher’s noh nid 2 emphaxize d phoint, Jejejeje”?

Punctuations and good paragraphing are the ways to go. Sounds like this came straight from the mouth of your annoying English teacher but really, if you have a bajillion of words to say, please use the right punctuation marks and observe good paragraphing.  And no, this is not about being a perfectionist or a strategy from stopping you from commenting; this is about making your voice easily heard and understood by the other readers.

Please refrain from shouting. It’s very annoying when someone’s shouting at you IRL, it’s the same in the internet. So if you have this obsession of writing paragraphs in ALL CAPS, now’s the time to break the habit or your comment goes bye-bye.

All in all, please be yourself minus the assholery.  Wayward Kitsune promotes and respects self-identity so ‘you be you.’  However, if you’re visiting this blog, please leave the assholery behind.  Let’s leave the drama to the books, dramas, and movies.
