Summer Lovin’ Readathon: Day 6- Hound Dogs + Summer Flings

July 6, 2013 Challenges 12

It’s good to be bad…boys that is! List those bad boys that make your heart go pitter patter. Got a picture to share so we can all drool (please)? You could do a character interview or create a bio for your favorite character. Or tell us where you would go if he were to ask you out on a date?

Aw! I couldn’t stop smiling upon reading this. Who would ever expect that such a question would be raised? But anyway, I am more than willing to rise up to this challenge. It’s not everyday that you stumble upon this kind of question. My list of bad boys would be:

  • Sirius Black of the Harry Potter Series– Though he’s not one for the Dark Arts but he’s definitely a bully and hot-tempered. Plus he is HANDSOME. I’m so infuriated when Warner Bros. casted Gary Oldman for the role because I’ve always seen Sirius Black as either a young Tom Cruise or Ben Barnes.
  • Jace Lightwood/Wayland/Herondale of the Mortal Instruments– Yes, he may be the Downworlder hero but he is still macho and very sarcastic. I would like to imagine that he would look like (please disregard Jamie Campbell Bower) Alex Pettyfer.
  • William Herondale of the Infernal Devices– Aside from his carefree attitude, I especially love how he pretended to be the most bad boy in existence. The closest actor that I can imagine he’d look like would be a younger Chris O’Donell.

{L-R: Tom Cruise, Alex Pettyfer, Chris O’Donell}

{L-R: Brad Pitt, Leonardo Di Caprio, Logan Lerman}

  • Peregrine of Under the Never Sky– He’s the hero of the story but he exudes a very lethal aura. He’s my favorite male lead character from 2012-2013. 😀 As for his looks, he might look like a younger Brad Pitt with dreadlocks. Want to get to know him more? Read the series.
  • Tom Marvolo Riddle a.k.a Lord Voldemort of Harry Potter– Before his transformations he had that coveted dark handsome looks and very intelligent. If he wasn’t so much as a psychopath and megalomaniac, I would have fallen for him. But that’s the problem with real bad boys, they remain untouchable, unattainable and too lethal for our own good. If I am to draw an image of him, I would certainly draw a dark haired young Leonardo di Caprio.
  • Artemis Fowl– The intelligent, money hungry boy genius. Physically, he looks ordinary but his extra-ordinary intelligence swept this gal off her feet. Not to mention that his sarcastic, condescending, arrogant and a criminal mastermind makes this boy one hell of a bad boy. And it is very strange that whenever I think of Artemis, it’s always Logan Lerman’s (lead actor for Percy Jackson) image that would appear in my mind.

Are my line up of bad boys as notorious as yours? Thanks for sharing. <3

For our second to the last day of Summer Lovin’ Readathon, Octavia of Read. Sleep. Repeat is hosting the 6th day Challenge: Summer Flings. Yes, you’ve read that right. Flings. Given the chance, which fictional character would you want to have a summer fling with? Ah, that’d be the day! Should the heavens permit this, I would like to have a fling with either of these yummies:

  • Four a.k.a John Smith of I am Number Four- Instead of hooking up with vampires, why not hook up with gorgeous aliens? xD I do have a lot of faces for John Smith. Sometimes I think of him as a young Ryan Gosling. I do have a long time crush with this actor ever since the Hercules TV Series.

And sometimes, Four reminds me of this guy, my favorite actor who was cast as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars 2 and 3.

  • Dimitri/Dimka Belikov of Vampire Academy- If I am to trust Richelle Mead’s description of him, I do imagine him as sinfully handsome with those smoldering dark eyes. *sighs* He’d probably look like this:

or like Taylor Kitsch who played Gambit in X-Men the Movie.

Oh jeez, I think I can feel my knees turning into jelly whenever I look at these gorgeous guys. *sighs* What do you think? Are my choices enough to make this summer steamy and unforgettable? Let me know in the comment box.

Happy reading!

    Mm-hm, Alex Pettyfer definitely made a perfect Jace. I would probably watched TMI twice or more and buy the DVD also if he played Jace there. You know, the accents and total hotness and all? 0.0
    Nice pick, by the way!

    Thanks, Ney. The first time I heard that TMI will be made into a movie, I was really hoping that Alex P. would play the part but life is always unfair. *sighs*

    Omg, ok so Taylor Kitsch is perfect for Dimitri!!! I LOVE TAYLOR. I haven't read Mortal Instruments but Alex Pettyfer seems like he would fit! I used Alex for Daemon Black in my post!

    Heh, glad to see Artemis on this list! That smart bad boy just gets all the ladies. 😛

    William Herondale seems to be making the lists too. I picked up Clockwork Angel recently and although I haven't read TMI yet, I guess I should read CA!

    Thanks for dropping by, Ana. I really have to put Artemis on the list as I have just finished reading The Last Guardian.

    I guess, it doesn't really matter if you read CA before TMI. Both series should be stand-alone. But just in case you're confused with some of the things with CA, you can always look for the answers in TMI, which I think you'd read immediately after CA. 😀

    Thanks, Michelle. Years ago, when I was reading the Chamber of Secrets, I was amazed to know that Voldy had been once a handsome boy. Apart from that, he had been charming and extremely intelligent. And secretly, I did wish that he might have shown remorse in the last books. I do pity him in a way coz things might have been different if he grew up with parents to guide him.
