Whenever I got bored or stressed with something, I usually bury myself with books and lots of books. I know that it is a temporary escape from reality but at least, after reading an amazing novel, you will be excited once again to look forward to the unfolding of events in your life. That somehow, somewhere, you will experience all the things that you’ve read in the book.
Thoughts and Pens, now Wayward Kitsune, was actually conceived almost a year ago when I was doing my usual full-of-sigh routine works at our company. I didn’t know what got into me during that time but the urge to make a webby for it was so strong that I have to make it instantly. It was sad to realize however that without a stroke of inspiration, all my creations usually fall into pieces. The first website that I created for Thoughts and Pens is now inactive and I don’t have the drive to finish it. For some reason, I wanted a new environment where I can start again. The cliche >,<
Next to my family, friends and pooches, I love reading books. I love daydreaming about anything that I’ve read. I love re-enacting the book scenes in my mind that when inspiration strikes, I always felt the need to write something about it. Something that I can share with my fellow book lovers and inspire those who are not into books. It’s always fun sharing your insights with someone who share the same passion for books.
At this very minute, while I make a short reflection about this passion of mine, it has been a long time since I have had a really fun discussion with someone about books. It’s not that I became tight lipped with my bookworming activities but its the fact that the people I’m interacting with right now do not share the kind of fondness I have for a certain genre of books. I love Y/A dystopian novels, sci-fi and fantasy adventure books and in the corporate world, it’s very hard to look for people who are into the same genre. My friends who have the same passion for the genre I’m into are mostly based out-of-town so getting in touch was either through texting and facebooking. But that seldom happens.
So what I wanna do right now is to start publishing my thoughts or reviews about any books that I’ve read. I am hoping that I can make new friends whom I can share my book insights with. Please do expect that many of my book choices will be Y/A Dystopian, Sci-fi and fantasy adventures. From time to time, however, I will be posting reviews of some books that are not categorized under any of these genres. That happens sometimes if I’m really sold out with the book.
Yay! I already have my first post. 😀
